(Dankook University Institute for Convergence Society : DICS)

The Dankook University Institute for Convergence Social Studies(DICS) aims to find the clues through social science approaches such as major policy issues, social welfare issues, communication problems, and leadership issues that are important in the current society. We are pursuing organic cooperation among the interdisciplinary fields in order to proactively respond to these in the change of socioeconomic environment

To achieve this, we have 6 research centers : the Center for Government Innovation, the Center for Policy Evaluation, the Center for Northeast Asian Political Studies, the Center for Social Welfare and Communications Research, and the Center for Leadership. While maintaining collaborative and competitive relationships, the research centers focus on helping to contribute to the development of the national society as well as efforts for mutual development.

In the future, DICS will contribute to our universities educational goals of advancement, globalization, and humanization. In addition, to further strengthen the cooperative research capabilities, we will actively promote international academic exchange projects with foreign universities and establish an organic collaborative research system between Academic, Research, Industry, and Government.

Based on this, we will not only play a part in the development of State, but also try to contribute to the development of the social science by providing practical alternatives for current social problems.

We would gladly look forward to your participation and support in ours. Thank you.
